My original intention for Life with Jonesie was to create a single panel comic or cartoon strip, in the manner of either Dennis the Menace, Marmaduke or Hazel. I didn’t want to go the typical route of creating and production a Garfield or Heifcliff type panel to panel comic strip like is done by others. I wanted to sell it to the newspaper syndicate, but knowing the difficulties of deciding to go a different route. Comics online seem to have replaced the standard daily and Sunday style comic strip in many regions.Syndicated comics were not as strong sellers in newspapers they once were in the hey day.I already, half heartedly tried to sell my Carter Tauron and Sampson idea-based loosely on the Return of Starbuck episode of the Galactica 1980’s series.Despite a nice formletter from I remember King Features Syndicate, the comic was neither funny nor well drawn. And word to the wise, don’t even do a Sluggo and tell an artist to sell his cartoon art to your local paper. They already have onsite artist to do that for political cartoons. You’d get better results,if dropped your pants and gave him or her a five finger salute, that suggest that.So don’t be a bore.Shut up and keep opinions to yourself.Your’ll smarter by saying nothing, than opening your big yap and looking stupid. Already, comic books and reprints are also replacing those outlets. Someday, the newspaper will as a dead as the dinosaure. Unfortune, but true.
Other things got in the way, my constraint building and rebuilding of the Maveric Universe, for one. Still, I want people to see my initial Life with Jonesie Comic Stripe idea. The comic branches off into various sub comics. Indies World, Everybody loves Spike. And so on, giving each cat a strip of their own contained with the actual Jonesie comic
